| Frank: Aiya! I just lost 70 bucks playing poker online! But it's ok... I still have a couple hundred left on my online bankroll.
Mother: You know... instead of losing that money, why don't you just give it to me?
Frank: That's a lot coming from someone who squandered money to the casino borrowing money from me.
Mother: *silence*

| My good friend, Xanga. It has been a while hasn't it? I certainly haven't forgotten about you. You've changed so much.
Anyways, I don't know if I'll still continue blogging. There's so much stuff I've written but just the fact I put it out there in the electronic world, it's easy for someone to take it for their own and give me no credit for it. Not that I put out pure gold but you know what I mean. haha
Please, let my luck be good for the next little while.

January
- Welcomed 2006 dealing poker at some pub in Vancouver. Once again, I spent the countdown
amongst strangers.
- I was such a bum for this semester at SFU, as I would be only
taking one course and I didn’t have a job.
What the hell was I doing anyways?
February
- This month was obviously the month of my birthday, but I really
didn’t do anything til March for it.
- I became the president of the Poker Club at SFU. People started to address me as
‘President’.
- Oh… Moana of the Bachelor.
You’re so freaking beautiful
March
- So, I had my 22nd birthday and it was a huge gong
show. I had everyone show up at Olympia for some
Greek food. Then, I had everyone at
my house over for drinks and karaoke.
However, by that time I had taken enough shots matching my age and
I was done at around 1am. That
totally sucks. I didn’t even get a
chance to enjoy myself.
April
- I’m not sure if this was the month but I have to mention Val’s
birthday party. We pre-gamed at her
place and lo and behold, I find myself the only single guy with nearly a
dozen girls at her party. Yes… I
did my best to entertain. Anyways,
after crashing there, I get a phone call at McDonalds regarding my
‘career’ as a Blackjack dealer.
May
- I got involved with a two week job at Richmond Centre giving
away 50 dollar gift cards. I got to
be dressed up as a ‘ranger’ and I’d go around blowing a duck whistle and
surprising them with money. What’s
funny is that people would actually RUN AWAY from us as we were trying to
give this stuff away! Excuses would
be like, “I’m busy watching my kid.”
Or my personal favourite, a Caucasian man in his 70s said, “No
English” in the most perfect North American accent. We then went on to award the card to
some other people in front of his face.
- I got accepted into working for Great Canadian Casinos and
start my training to becoming a Blackjack Dealer. Here, I would meet some really great
people. This is also where I good
to work my lines on… the instructors of all people. Seriously, every single one of them were
MILFin’.
June
- We finish our training as Blackjack Dealers and I got the
highest mark in the class of 40!
Boo ya! Not boourns!
- I still remember my first day working at Riverrock Casino: June 28, 2006. I was sent at a 10 dollar blackjack
table. My hands were soooooo sweaty
that I couldn’t pull the cards out of the shoe. It’s so funny cuz when I think about it
now, it’s nothing. Now, I just deal
the cards and take people’s money.
Easy.
July, August
- These months would be the same:
Me working at Riverrock. I
also remember constantly bithcing about wishing to being able to deal in
the poker room. I realized that I
had to wait 6 months before I could apply and I’d still have to wait for a
posting. However, something was
definitely in store for me…
- I managed to get a Friday off work and went clubbing at
Plush. Worked some stuff out.
- Dating is fun.
September
- I again manage to get only one class at SFU.
November
- I pull my presentation out of my ass. I think the video totally won me the
class.
- Only one month dealing poker, and I’m already dealing in the
big games
December
- I wish I could remember what happened in this month.
- I start hooking up… near the end of this month. “But all I wanna do is spoon with you!”
No idea what’s gonna happen for next
year. I just hope I can still continue
put stuff up on xanga. I know that I wont
regret it cuz I know ten years down the road, I’ll stumble upon my site again
and think about all those things I was going through.

| Ah xanga... It's been ages I know. Since then, working at Riverrock. Started dealing in late June. Started to deal poker in mid-October and I love it. Loving the graveyard shift. Making many friends along the way. The SFU Poker "Meeting" was a success. I'm screwed for my class. Papers and presentation left to do but work is too distracting. My room is a mess. One thing I can recall when talking to a fellow co-worker. I gotta put this down somewhere cuz I know I'll forget it. It was when I was giving away those gift cards at Richmond Centre back in May: "Don't assume that there's a reason behind everything. Things can and will occur and there's no explanation behind it." And one thing I'll take with me, with regards to relationships: "Don't be so preoccupied with trying to find someone. Continue to do what you're doing, and eventually they'll find themselves to you." So, I just gotta keep doing what I'm doing. Keep building towards that career, get that condo and pay off that new sports car. If I can get to that point, I'd be golden. | | |
| SFU POKER CLUB IS A GO!

CAC Poker Tour March 2006 (Final Table)
We'll just see how that turns out. Special thanks for our Internal/External Relations/STD, James for making it happen. Now, my dreams of having tournaments, workshops and dealing the final table can finally come true. It'll feel so good to have people yell "PIT" and they'd be looking for me to make a decision. I'll have to gather the executives and get sponsors to be on our side. I know I'll have a lot of fun with this over the summer.
That's really the important news...
Dealer school is about to come to an end for me. Be on the look out for me dealing blackjack/three card poker/four card poker/mini bac/texas shootout at Boulevard Casino. Can't wait to see what my tag will look like. I know everyone's gonna be laughing at my picture. Let's hope I find myself in the poker room there as soon as possible.
Weather's turning out to be real nice. BBQs galore!
